I have read the other questions on tampons...I'm pretty sure I put it in right, but I feel a little uncomfortable. Is that normal? It is my first time using one. I'm not in extreme pain or anything, I just feel a little uncomfortable, especially when I sit down or stand up.

Woud it start to hurt if you pushed it in too far?

Yes my first time I was completly uncomfortable.
It may also have to do with the fact that when its your first time using one you don't put it in all the way for fear of it getting stuck.
If you are having slight pain when you stand or sit thats probably the case, its not in all the way!
It will probably be uncomfortable your first couple times but then you'll get used to them.
And they are MUCH better than pads. I could never go back!
Hang in there! :)

It could just be that it is your first time using one. The first few times I used a tampon it was uncomfortable and i could feel it. But after a few times using once, i can't even feel it. Hope this helps!

I'm at the same point as you, and yes it's completely normal. After a few times, sitting down will get easier. I prefer pads preferably, though, tampons are helpful. Usually more for swimming.

Well of course it should be uncomfortable. I'm a guy but I know a thing or two about tampons.
It feels weird only because you never shove anything up there for a long or specific amount of time.
It's like wearing contacts or glasses. They don't feel right on your face but at least they help. Later you will get adjusted to it.
smile! ;)

it need be a little more up there. you might to try anther brand as well I can't use Tampax because when they expand it more of a long way vs all around like OB(check the box and make you get the one with applicator) or Kotex. You might to also try instead it's a cup that can worn up to 12 hours (depending on your flow) it also does not have the risk TSS.

I think that you are probably just not used to it. I dislike using tampons and only do on heavy days. I find them to be uncomfortable and have never liked using them.

it probably just isn't pushed in far enough. I had this same problem when I first put one in but then I got the hang of it. Hope I could help.

If it is inserted properly, you should not be able to feel it at all. Try taking it out and putting in a new one. If you feel this one, push it up a little farther. Good luck!

YOU DIDNT PUT IT IN FAR ENOUGH. YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FEEL THE TAMPON AT ALLLLLL. THAT HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME I STARTED USING THEM. PUT THE APPLICATER UP UNTIL IT HITS YOUR FINGERS AND THEN SLIDE THE TAMPON IN, THATS HOW FAR IT SHOULD BE.

You probably don't have it pushed in far enough, that can cause irritation when it's not in all the way.
