I got the new ipod shuufle and keep reading that you can put podcots on it i just wanted to know what they were. Thanks:)

A podcast is like a radio show or a talk show that you can download and listen to after it appears live. You can download the podcasts and listen to them whenever you like. I really enjoy sports podcast, hop this helps! Enjoy the iPod, I love mine!

it can be kinda complicated as to what it's true definition and meaning is... so here's what it probably means to you...
a podcast is an audio file. Usually, it's one of a series that you would subscribe to. On subscribing to the podcast feed, via iTunes, each time the creator posts a new audio file, iTunes will automatically download that file, and you can sync them all to your iPod.

It's like an audio blog of some sort. Many teachers use them and record a lesson so their students can listen to a lesson whenever they want.

Yeah they are just free broadcasts from different shows not very many good ones. Some are sound and some are video.
