I feel my baby move everyday, but usually his movements are light, soft movements. Is this normal at 32 weeks? My friends at this stage were always complaining about strong movements. Could it be different bc I was chubby before pregnancy and they were thin?

im also a over weight woman, i asked my doc a simlar question a few weeks back, yes it is going to feel a bit different when you have excess weight, im currently 33 weeks and i feel movement everyday but nothing to intence...sometimes i feel a strong kick but nothing like i have heard about from my siblings who are alot thinner then i am. everyhting is ok, your fine... i wouldent be worried unless you dont feel any movement or a big decrees in movement. and if your that worried call the doc thats what their their for.

I am 37 weeks and went through the same thing around your time. I got super nervous because her movements were a lot different then what I was used to. I really don't feel kicks too much anymore...just her moving around and jabbing her foot into my ribs, or her butt up into my lungs. She's pretty quiet during the day, and becomes very active at night. And getting that active in such a small area is PAINFUL! She's doing great though! I would talk to your doctor and everything to be sure, but it sounds like he's just running out of room so it's going to be harder for him to do anything more then moving! Good luck!

Remember the baby is growing rapidly and running out of room. A slowing down of movement is pretty normal, however I would totally mention it to your OB/GYN and tell them your concerned. They could respond in a lot of different ways, anything from checking out the baby, deciding it's fine and doing nothing to maybe doing nonstress tests or having you come in more often, ect. But if the pregnancy has been otherwise healthy I wouldn't worry too much, as long as you feel the baby move every day, and just ask them to check it out when you're in next time.

I felt my little guy mve everydy, and everything seemd pretty normal, he wasn't trying ot for the olympics yet, but he also wasn't moving as much as the doc liked. talk to your doc about going to the hosp for a non-stress test. you lay on a bed with a fetal monitor hooked to your belly, and they measure the baby's movements, how much and how long it takes to move X amount of times. I didthe same thing at 35 weeks, and it turned out my placenta had aged, and the baby wasn't responding as well as he should have. I had an emergency c-section right there, (he was sideways in me) and a good thing we did, the cord was also wrapped around his neck. I can't really say if weight hasto do with it, you feel your baby kick regardless what size you are, after all he is IN you! just talk o your OB, andmaybe start a kick chart to see how often he is moving, good luck!

During my pregnancy I felt like my son was the kung fu master, but really what scale did I have to go by...lol. Just be happy he is in there doing his thing. I'm not sure if weight has anything to do with it at all. No matter if your thin or not so thin, the baby still has the same amount of room basically in each womb. Just think, he is trying to be considerate..lol

As long as you are feeling regular movement everything should be okay. Remember your uterus is stretching to the max and you only have 8 weeks left! If you are still unsure or you feel something might be wrong, call your doctor.

i guess any movement would be a normal or good sign wouldn't you think. you just dont feel them as much because the baby is getting bigger. Its no longer able to toss and turn as freely any more.check with your doctor to be on the safe side.

each baby is different.
as long as the doctor is all good with it, then your all good to momma.
best wishes.

I lost 42 pounds while preganet. I eat so clean and drank so much water, my son was quiet most of the time- i lay on my left side and ate some icecream and my baby loved it. It was like he was swaying with happiness.

i would ask your midwife, i think that because you were slightly chubby, you wont feel the movements as much, but this is only my opinion, and you need to visit the midwife.

Good luck!
