Because Sam Cassell has been injured and either not playing or not starting for most of the season, plus he wasn't playing well with his injuries. When he's healthy, he carries that team. They were a playoff team last season mainly because of him. When Shaun Livingston plays most of the minutes at point, the Clippers struggle more. Cassell is able to set up the offense better, he's a better scorer, and just more experienced than Livingston.
Plus, for most of the season, Brand wasn't playing effectively. He's just now plaing at the level he's blayed at for most of his career. Tim Thomas hasn't been as good as they had hoped, and Chris Kamen, normally a very good center, has been inconsistant.
Cassell, Kamen and Brand all playing well consistantly are key to any Clippers success. They haven't had that for most of the season, which is why they're hovering at .500.

Because they're the Clippers and that's what they do. They have a good season once like every 10 years and people think they'll continue winning but then they just start losing like crazy again!

I really dont know
but it is very disapointing because we where supposed to be better
I live in San Diego and it seems that some of the hype died down but we still HATE the lakers

because the clippers where always overrated and mentally weak
they stank with Sam I am starting early in the year as well

they're an average Team, which in Western Conference will get you in the Postseason, If they we're an Eastern Conference they might have a Chance, but like I said you'll lose to teams like SUNS, MAVS, SPURS, and LAKERS since your in LA.

maybe expectations after a good season started to take a toll on them but they seem to be playing better right now.
