It's a Hollywood formula. Through in a crass British guy and you will get good ratings. Not sure why Americans eat it up. Maybe we like the funny way they talk.

No. I rarely watch it, and the main reason is Simon's arrogance. Also, the English accent is a little wearing on my ears. It's a little too clipped and harsh. Being a Southerner, I like a little softness in anyones voice.
