Choose two points on the graph that are very close to the point you are interested in, draw a straight line between those points, and then rise over run will give you the slope. The closer to the point you can make it, the better your estimate will be.

derivative which will give you the slope of the curve at a certain point, slope equals acceleration at that exact point
