It's not that embarassing since all of the people I talked to despised Bush just like I did. I would be embarassed if I was a Bush supporter.

Wow, aren't you a little sheltered. There are many people that have friends or business associates that are overseas.
Remember the real feelings of other countries are not always what you read or see on TV.
I have to deal with some fairly regularly and I am not at all embarrassed. It was much more difficult to me when we had the admitted liar in office that wasn't man enough to control himself while he was literally on top of the world, in the most powerful country on earth and still, all he could think about was himself.

I have friends in the UK, the EU, Africa, and Canada and I am always proud to speak as an American about our president. I may not agree with everything he has done and they may not agree with me, but, as an American, I will defend our country and our leaders with my last breath. BTW, you don't hear many from the UK speaking out about how bad the Queen is do you? It is against the law for them. We are fortunate to be able to express our views and that is because of our country's greatness that has been achieved through all of our great leaders, although some were greater than others.

Oddly enough, I've traveled to some countries that traditionally hate america, and we relate fine because they understand all too well how the politics of the country do not reflect the desires of the people. Corrupt governments are a plague all over the world, and we all see it and feel it.

My international friends have bigger problems in their counties than worrying about who our president is.
Wise up - there are real problems in the world outside of you fantasies.
Some live with the constant fear of their government reading their web conservations, or some of having their family members imprisoned because he won't serve in the military, some aren't allowed on certain websites even by accident without the government fining them or suspending them from the university.

see this is representative of the uninformed state of all too many of the citizens of our great country. Borat is a fictional character created by a practicing Jew named Sasha Baron Cohen, and you obviously dont have any overseas friends

No. Fujimori. Blair. Chirac. Need I continue? Seriously. It's easy to poke holes. It's the halmark of a truly insightful person to find real quality. That said: If you can't say something nice, don't say anything.

The cultural left has routinely affirmed the most vicious prejudices about American foreign policy held by radical factions in the Muslim world - and then emboldened those factions to attack us with the firm conviction that "America deserves it"

I won't have a problem speaking to people about our president. Why? Because I support our current president.
Just my opinion, bye.
