At average size the man is 15% larger and 40% greater in upper body strength. The male of our species was evolved to compete with other males, over access to females. So, men are designed to punch and punch hard. You are talking averages, so the overwhelming evidence, sans Hollywood BS, says that on average men beat women. This is a statistical fact, borne out by the male vs female prison population and violent prisoner proportion.

The man, obviously. Anyone who answers "the woman" has seen WAY too many Angelina Jolie movies.
I'm also interpreting equal determination here, you understand. Yeah, a woman can kick a man in the groin if she's that determined to cause him pain; but it's also easy for the man to deliver a hard shot to the chest, and that will take any woman down as well. There's more than enough pressure points on the bodies of males AND females to ensure that neither will gain a huge advantage from it (since you said they have no special training).

this is humorous how vehemently some women folk will argue for his or her very own inferiority!! unhappy, particularly.... On general, adult males are better than women folk - yet by ability of no ability is this an absolute. truthfully, in a hand-to-hand combat between a guy and a women folk from our subculture - i think of that the guy could win, till the female became of exemplary mind. Why? From delivery, women folk are taught that they can't combat, that this is undesirable for a 'woman' to combat or teach ferocity of any type. it could take a particular woman - and that i do believe that there are various available - to shed that social programming...... regrettably!!!

I would put money on the man if we are talking fighting with bare hands only - men are usually very good at blocking when a women attacks. This may suck, but it's true. A women could throw a heck of a punch and nearly break her arm with the forcefullness of the block some men would use.
If you are talking about any kind of hand fight - I would personally challenge any guy to a thumb war!

The man. Obviously. How many times have we put up a good fight with other men that were stronger? Bar fights, brawls, c'mon people. You actually think it's easy to just kick a guy in the balls? IS he going to sit there and wait for you to kick him? Guaranteed that by the time you try kicking him in the nuts, he's clocked you in the face several times and your teeth would be all over the sidewalk...

I personally have been in a situation where someone I had to be near thought it was funny to hit me. Being a nice girl I never fought back but ran to the corner or where ever to hide. That is until one day when I got fed up with it. I will tell you what not only did I resort to hair pulling and biting I also kicked and punched. I won and he never ever hit me again. So I will say that a properly motivated woman will win everytime. Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned.

The man, men are stronger than women, I've heard it said that men are strong from the waist up and women are strong from the waist down, however you want to look at it, men are phisically stronger.
