can i like, get tv shows through the internet with tivo,,,, cuz here, we dont have cable.
i was thinking i might be able to watch TV shows by getting the tivo,,is it like that or what?
is it possible to do that without a cable line,,,,,, i mean watch real TV channels, on a TV, not a computer.

Tivo is not a cable service you won't get any more channels than you get now. It is a service that lets you record tv shows then replay them whenever you want. That way you don't miss any of your favorite shows. Plus you can fast forward, rewind, & slow motion your recorded shows.

Tivo digitally records whatever you receive on your TV, so you don't need cable. (It doesn't provide cable channels on its own.)
You also hook it up to your phone line; every night it makes a call to upload/download what you have selected to record.
