High levels like kingdom and phylum contain many, many different kinds of organisms. This is high diversity.

Low taxonomic levels like genus and species contain fewer kinds of organisms by far. This is low biodiversity.

When you go down the taxonomic levels, organsims get more related. Taxonomy is based on homologous structures. Species is the most closely related.
