Baseball is less predictable than the other major sports, but being a Yankees fan I think they will win the division again. I hope they go all the way because it's been 7 years since they last won and it feels like 70, but whatever happens they are my team and I'll be happy with another A.L. East Championship!

I think this is a Yankee Year. I'm just hoping for a rematch with the Tigers. The embarrased us in the playoffs and I'd like to share a little with them. I see us playing the Cubbies in the Series and winning in 4 or 5.

I think you can pencil them in for a division title. Beyond that, we'll have to see how it shakes down.
It pains me to say this, being a Blue Jays fan, but the Yankees have set themselves up better for future seasons because of the moves they made (and some they didn't) this year. They kept Philip Hughes and their other prospects, moved Randy Johnson and Jaret Wright, and resisited the temptation to overpay for guys like Matsuzaka and Barry Zito.
I can't see the Red Sox or the Jays wrestling the crown from them this year, in any case.

You already got them in the playoffs without playin 1 game, the yankees are always up there but I don't think there going to do very well this year. After last year the rumors of firing Torre is going to hurt there chances this year

I think that they will have a good season if everybody is healthy both physically and (mentally for A-ROD). I think they will make the playoffs, but sadly they won't make it to the World Series. I wish they would though.

Good question. They have the potential to win the WS with that potent lineup, an improved rotation and Mariano. Middle relief and depth in starters is still an issue. But with a healthy team they should be able to put together a 95+ win season.
And they have set themselves up to be a better clubhouse team sans Sheff, and meanwhile have improved their pitching staff of the future with that trade and the Randy trade.
Good times are coming back to the Bronx!

pitching seems to be in order. my only concern is a backup catcher for Jorge. Looks like the Rocket could be coming back. I was never a big fan of his, but if he can help the team I'm all for it. Lets keep our fingers crossed!

Have none of you any sense? with the new starting rotation of those rivals, I can definately see a change in AL East pace, with that great mix of pitchers leading the Bo' Sox to the top.

They will win between 95-105 games this year. Win the AL East and eventually win the pennant. They will play the Philadelphia Phillies in the world series and win in 5 games. Check with me later and I'll give you the scores of each game!!!
