How do we know when we have succeded in Iraq? How can anyone come up with a successful plan for Iraq if no one knows what the success outcome is defined as?

There's noway US succeed in this war, does't matter if the troops increased. with this gov. and this presidency, it's already a lost war. Too much lies and deception and missdirecting american by bush and his accosiates. The point of this is that, above mentioned are the plus and the boost for people around the world who are against this war, also invaiding Iraq is a fresh reminder for the same people that, US is been doing these kind of actions for few decades, only to make profit out of it or reinforse it's place in the world wich is always been resented by many countries. Let's not forget that, the main reason US invaid Iraq is OIL and stronger spot in the region, also be stronger support to Israel.

I learned that the only way to win a war, is when the other side gives up. So i guess , if for some reason Iraq gives up, we will have succeded.

I agree with you one hundred percent! How can anybody accomplish anything when there is no agreement on success. The current administration has put so much faith in the corporate community and there is not one of them that wold allow a project or any other campaign move forward without a firm definition of success.

A stable US led puppet government has always been the covert objective. Your president and many of his 'advisers' will not even be aware of this (so they can produce and 'honest injun' presentation daily) but a state similar to US led Shah of Iran's puppet government before he was overthrown by ayatollah Khomeini is what the powers that be require. They lost Iran years ago and never regained it so don't bet on success.

IF....IF...the country becomes stable. These people have been fighting each other for a thousand years. We can't fix that. They should divide the country by..Sunni and Shia..they will never get along. But only they can do this.

If we were told the goals, the military might achieve them, and that would mean that the soliders would come home.
Our current government couldn't allow that.

When Terrorism is defeated. Unfortunately several of our Liberal weak politicians won't allow us to win. they fight against it because they are gutless. Do to our Liberalism we will lose this war. It will eventually be fought in our homeland because we as a people and politically society are to weakheartd to fight for our future.
