When it gets warmer I want to get a tattoo on one of my feet. I already have one on my ankle, and now I was wondering if I should get one on the top of my foot, or closer to my toes, or actually on my toes. I dont think I want one on the bottom of my foot because how often would someone see the bottom of my feet. Has anyone had tattoos on their feet? Will it be painful, and where is the best spot on my foot to get a tattoo?

I have a tattoo of Gary the snail on the top of my foot. (I know most people think it's stupid, but it's for a reason) First off, some tatoo artists won't tattoo toes because the ink will run, and it'll just be a little blob of color. It's painful. That was the worst tatoo I've gotten. Gary is in the middle of the top of my foot. If I wear flip-flops, it looks like he's walking right above the top of it. It's really cute, but it will have to have touch ups. All foot tats will eventually need touch ups. Be warned though, it does hurt.

Face it...tattoos hurt, but you should know that if you have one... Here's the problem, if the tattoo is too small or too intricate, it looks like you have cat poo on your foot. So, I suggest that if you really want one on your foot, make it something simple that can actually be seen by a person standing up and at least the size of a quarter. I have a friend that has scroll work around her big toe and a cross on the top and I'm afraid it just looks like her toe is dirty. Yuck!

My family member has a tattoo of a ankle bracelet going onto the foot, and it was "supposed" to hurt really bad. I guess it depends on whether or not you have fat feet. I think the bottom of the foot is 'creative' but no one would c it ever. i think 1 that matches ur ankle 1 would look good on the top of your foot.

Because your feet has so many bones and not a lot of fat to cushion, it'll hurt a lot. Just make sure you get it somewhere that won't be rubbed against all the time. I wear Chacos with a toe strap so I could never get one on my toe because all the friction would just fade the tattoo too fast.

A friend of mine got hers done. She had the tattoo done on the middle of the top of her foot. It will be painful though because of all the bone and very little fat to cushion it though but it will look very pretty especially when you're barefoot or in flip-flops.

ok well my aunts all got a tatto on their foot and they said it is not very painful it depends on the amount. but i mean get one on the opposite foot or get one on the toe like a toe ring.

The Dixie Chicks have tattoos on their feet, but unless you have had a multi-platinum album, you shouldn't get one on your foot.
