None. Americans will do any type of work provided they are not underpaid & worked like slaves. Heck, they will even work at underpaid jobs. At $7.25 an hour you are underpaid because you cannot live on that amount of money nor can you support a family. Many Amerians work for this amount & hold two jobs just to try & make ends meet. Point of fact: $7.25 pay is not in effect yet. This nonsense about jobs that Americans won't do is to justify bringing in Mexicans to work for less than minimum wage. Don't buy into it.

There are two sides to your question. First, Mexicans are being hired and have already worked in many jobs here in America, including farming, crops and vegetables, fruits, construction, forestry products such as pine strawing. It doesn't mean that all Americans don't want these jobs. The fact is, many business will hire these workers because they are not a part of organized labor so they hire them cheap. Labor cost, health care is all reduced. Sometimes it is possible that businesses and individuals hire strictly for the cheaper labor and that takes the opportunity away from the American worker.

the mexicans are being ripped off by big business.this is a myth that the politicians spread sucking ***(read business donations) .without illegals big business would have to pay real wages.our citizens will not work for peanuts.it's not a case of americans don't want the jobs-they won't work for the shitty pay!

Puting tar on a roof when it is 100 deg outside...rebuilding New Orleans since Bush suspended the Davis Bacon Act and they are not required to pay minimum wage, picking beans, strawberries....digging ditches for minimum wage or less..Do you want me to send you an application ?

OOH! Sending money back to Mexico! Americans definately don't want to do that.
But as for roofers, construction workers, and general laborers: there are many, many American workers lining upp for these jobs, but just not for the below-standard wages the illegals work for.
Remember, the cost of living for their families in Mexico is much lower than in America.
