What am I doing wrong against the Elite Four?

I have a good team of Pokemon, in my opinion. They are:

Zapdos Lvl. 52
Articuno Lvl. 51
Blastoise Lvl. 56
Electabuzz Lvl. 55
Dragonair Lvl. 35
Poliwrath Lvl. 47

Im using good moves, but why do I still get my butt kicked by the Elite Four? For example, I use Blastoise against Bruno's Pokemon, and Zapdos against Lorelei. What am I doing wrong though?

And second, I need to know where in the Safari Zone is Scyther. I saw it once or twice, but I cant find it now...

Make sure you have at least 20 revives and 35+ hyper potions (get them from Cinnabar island). Go back through the route between lavender town and fushia city and use the vs. seeker to battle trainers and level up your dragonair.

Aganist Lorei use Zapdos and Electabuzz's thunderbolt aganist her pokemon. For jynx, use a male pokemon aganist her not weak aganist ice type attacks. (Maybe get a fire-type for Jynx)

Bruno-Blastoise will be good on his fighting and will do normal damage on his fighting types. If Zapdos or Articuno knows a flying-type attacks they'll be good aganist fighting types.

Agatha-psychic or dark or an elemental type attack, use your most powerful pokemon and their strongest attack.

Lance-articuno's ice type attacks will quickly defeat his dragons and use zapdos or electabuzz on gyarados and aerodytal.

Gary-articuno's ice attacks on venasaur; blastoise on arcanine etc.


For finding scyther, he's rare, your best bet is to buy him in the game corner for 5,500 coins.

1. First of all check in ur pokenav and then match call see if anyone wants to battle ur doing very good with the lvling.

2. If they have a pokeball by their name go to them and battle them.

3. keep battling and get ur pokemons to lvl 60

4. Make at least 2 or 3 of them to lvl 60 or over.

5. Buy some revive and super potions but since super potions are like too expensive go to Lavaridge Town and then next to the gym there will be a women selling herbs. Go in there and buy energy roots. they are very cheap and they heal 200hp like the hyper potions but don't get anything else there. Then go to normal shops and buy revives.

your team is still considered quite low,if you are playing firered and leafgreen i will suggest evolving your dragonair and replace either zapdos or electrabuzz with a psychic type or a ghost type with psychic moves
basically your team is not really evenly spread out,you have 2 electric types and 2 water types and train them all to level 60, i know it can be frustating,but it will improve your chances

as for scyther,please look here,the area where you first enter the safari zone has 4%of finding scyther,the second area has only one percent of finding it,so good luck
