Yes, definitely. Could be something like a counselor/social worker thing. It would depend on the school and what funding they have for such a position. I'd start by looking up schools especially for special needs kids, then look at the public schools/school districts in your area. You might have to start slowly, i.e., think about developing a part-time program that a few schools could share the costs of, but you'll find out when you start talking to people in the schools.

YES!
I am a early childhood mental health specialist and I work with severly emotionally handicapped kids. I run groups in a local school twice a week, working with kids aged 5-12. The teacher of this class is amazing--she is a special education teacher. I'm a professional counselor--not a teacher. But as I said, I do work with SBH kids in a school setting....so perhaps look into either a degree in special education with an emphasis in SBH kids, or go the clinical counseling route (my back ground prior to counseling was a preschool teacher and parent educator, so I came into counseling with a lot of experience behind me already)...this kind of career is gonna boom in the next few years, if it hasn't already...the school system I consult with is very small and very rural, so I can only imagine if THEY have this kind of problem which requires a special class with a specially trained staff, that it is happening everywhere....good luck!

Yours is not the only case in the world of a person who initially believed in God and later became an atheist or an agnostic and stopped believing in God whatsoever. Well, first of all obviously this did not make you happier and more fulfilled, nor is the case of anyone else who made the same decision. The question is who was wrong – God or us? Did we prayed wrongly or He misunderstood our prayers? Lets get to the root cause of the problem. I suggest that it is wise not to blame on God for anything because by definition God is the omnipresent, omniscient, all-perfect Supreme Being and whatever He does is for the best of everyone throughout creation. So, His perspective is Absolute and obviously He has no problems. Nor does He like to put us into difficulties so that we will suffer. Why would He do that? We are the ones who have problems in our lives as you mentioned. We don’t have to change places, because all of us we are not perfect and we have some problems and distress in our lives. So, whose fault is that – should we blame God or it was our mistake? If you are in the prison house and are undergoing some punishment – is it your fault or of the Government? If you were not guilty of something you wouldn’t be in the prison house, right? You would be free citizen. So, similarly when we transgress the laws set by God, we end up in the prison of the material world in which we are forced to undergo the sufferings of birth, death, old age and disease. No one here is actually free. How can you say that someone is free when he doesn’t like to grow old, get diseased and die but he is forced to do? So, God does want to help us to become free from the sufferings of repeated birth and death, but we have to be willing to reciprocate with His help and understand what does He want us to do. That is the mission of this human life.

Yes, many of the day treatment or live-in type treatment centers for kids pay people to come in 2-3 times per week to work with Emotionally disturbed kids. Also, many Montessori schools and other private schools would hire someone with your qualifications. Good luck!

This depends on the county you live in.
Many western countries have course on line.
Type in say University couses into Google, then see where you go.
Latrobe Uni may be a good place to start. Email them for info, and they will let you know.
We are needing assistants in all our specialist schools in Australia. Type in Department of education, and the jobs thing will come up.
Good luck
