Technology is based upon need. If you need a knife to cut the steak you invent. If you like getting up and changing the channel do not use the remote.
If you really want the exposure of something new tare apart a printer. It will take you an hour to figure out where they hid the screws. What are they going to do when they invent the Air Car?

That is strange.
A my Computer Engineering teacher does everything out of the book and knows nothing about really the workings of a computer, a today I had to help my science teacher figure out how to make new folders, sub folders and how to move stuff onto her thumb drive but I will get Community Hours for that. My mom well duh.
But teacher esp. a engineering teacher, and a science teacher wow the board has hit an all time low.

I personaly think most of the "consumer" tech stuff is un nessisary.... I think the personal use of much of it is dehumanizing.... If I could I would take all the PCs out to the deepest part of the ocean and dump them.... and anything beyond the basic cell phone as well.

My wife. Whenever she sits down at the computer goofy things happen. For example, when she opens a web browser, sometimes a dial-up password window will open as well. Problem is, we have high-speed, and that darn pop-up will not go away. I use the same computer and it never happens to me.

LOL! Yes, I know some people like that. My friends (mostly tech people) call them "blinking twelves" because they don't even know how to reset their electronic equipment at home after the electricity goes off, so their microwaves and VCRs are always blinking 12:00!

My Grandmother, says LapTops are a waste of money..she always says that I am going to go blind, with all the "TYPING" I do there..lol I know...she's so cute!
I showed her, some Italian Recipes online..and she totally spends hours looking up ingredients and such to prepare delicious meals for the entire family!!!! Sometimes she is like, "Honey Pie, how do I read the BOTTOM of this description"..and I'm Like "Grammie, you just "SCROLL" down with your mouse"...shes like "MOUSE?...where? and no I don't have a Scroll?....lol I LOVE HER!!! =)

Oh, and did you know Wiccans say witchcraft is "technology"? Imagine calling technical support on that one!

*Most* women I know age 60 and up, but not all, and surprisingly a like 25ish year old girl that was training with me at work. That's generally phasing out 'cause younger generations are exposed to it sooner, my 3 year old was making/editing imovies earlier today!
