Its a secret in the 2000 era the NFL does not respect players that carry themselves with class. Ask a stranger off the street who T.O. is and they could tell you but ask about Marvin Harrison and only a football fan would tell you. Same thing with Tiki Barber because he plays hard and has a quiet game. This guy complained a couple of times about the coaching but thats nothing compared to what other players talk about. You right I also think his the most improved player i remember there was a time when Tiki literally used to fumble in every game like 4 seasons ago but it looks like he has really taken the time to improve on that. Tiki Barber aint underrated in my book.

Tiki Barber is a great runningback. He is underrated because there are so many more better backs in the league.

I don't think he's underrated - anymore; I think his stats have spoken and that's why he's getting the Pro-Bowl recognition, MVP-type recognition, etc. that he wasn't getting when he first broke out after their Super Bowl year in 2000. Like a lot of people have said, he doesn't have a big mouth (other than criticizing Coughlin, but who hasn't?) like a lot of the primadonna stars in the NFL today. The reason he was underrated was b/c he had a slow start to his career and he did fumble a lot. You don't gain respect when you put the ball on the ground once a game, lol.

Tiki is a very good back,it's to bad he's retiering. The main reason he's so underrated is that he isn't that outspokenas someone like, for exaple Terrell Owens.

He isn't underrated. He's good and he's recognized for that. But he can't compare with other people like Tomlinson or Bush. He isn't as good as you might think.
