i watch it, I swore I wouldn't this year! lol last year I was just going to watch the auditions then I got hooked. my most favorite singer in the whole world is kelly clarkson so thats kind of why I'll watch the show. last year I loved chris daughtry and wanted him to win. I think the judges have gone a bit overboard now. they should make fun of peoples voices but not their appearances. that is rude. i see what your saying though, sometimes the person has a good voice and they let them go?

I love American Idol, including the "bad" singing - it's like seeing a car wreck and not being able to turn away. My favorite thing about the show is most definitely Simon Cowell - these people need to hear the truth. I don't find him rude, I find him refreshingly honest. If I could change one thing, I'd prohibit Randy Jackson from ever saying "dog", "pitchy" or "yo yo yo" again.

NO one jumps out at me just yet but I agree the people they are showing are getting worse. BUT I think they are doing it on purpose for ratings. They are saving the good ones for the real competition viewing audience because some people only watch the bad ones and other people wait to watch the last singers.

I keep watching it, but I have no idea why. The best part is seeing people who are good singers get rewarded for their hard work and talent. But I agree that the best don't always win. I'm really tired of them making very sad people look very foolish.

This last season was the worst. The only 2 with talent were Daughtry and McPhee and they were rather mediocre really. The rest were somewhat pathetic. I've already seen better on the auditions this season.

The two people who I really really liked on last season's show both got voted off - Mandeesa and Chris Doughrty.
P.S. - I CAN'T STAND that Taylor Hicks dude!

I only like watching the auditions. It's so funny to watch people making fools of themselves! I don't mean to be cruel, but it's very amusing. I'm not too interested when the people can sing, but sometimes I like to watch it.

i don't watch it... Simon scares me and that girl is way too animated for me. I think it is rigged. I have heard that they only put on a few good one per show... flanked by lots of bad ones... to make sure that we appreciate their talent and notice it.
Too much psychology for me. Why not just have Dr. Phil pick out the winner for us?
