Funny you should ask this today, because ESPN just published its rankings of all 80 teams that made the Superbowl ever (see the link under sources). According ESPN, the top five teams are:

1. 1989 San Franciscos 49ers
2. 1985 Chicago Bears
3. 1978 Pittsburgh Steelers
4. 1992 Dallas Cowboys
5. 1984 San Francisco 49ers

The list is fairly comprehensive and based largely on objective standards. Of course, on any given Sunday, any team can beat any other team. That is part of what makes Footbal exciting.

it is purely properly 4 now --5 become on WED -the 'ninety 2 Cowboys in accordance to the AG internet website, the 'seventy 8 steelers are #3 i do not understand who i'd position @ #a million, there is such rather some factors (it doesn't be the seventy 2 Dolphins although, they'd an excellent person-friendly agenda). i doesn't rule the 80 5 bears out although, as a results of the undeniable fact that is optimal great-bowl communities, no longer eras (so prevailing numerous ones truly shouldn't count number, because loosing/gaining one guy after a million season makes you a distinct crew, so it is no longer technically a similar crew prevailing back -------plus they're no longer featuring it as "broncos" or "49ers" it is through 12 months, so it is irrelevent that they purely gained a million ---rather because communities like the steelers and 49ers who were really unchanged area exceedingly far out on the record).

I'd go with:

1985 Chicago Bears (won Super Bowl XX over New England)
1989 San Francisco 49ers (won Super Bowl XXIV over Denver)
1976 Oakland Raiders (won Super Bowl XI over Minnesota)
1972 Miami Dolphins (won Super Bowl VII over Washington)
1986 New York Giants (won Super Bowl XXI over Denver)

1. '85 Bears
2. '89 49ers
3. '99 Rams
4. '92 Cowboys
5. '03 Patiots

I picked teams since '82 (the year I was born) since I was never really around to watch those teams. I'm sure you could add a Steelers team to this list as well. My reason for the '99 Rams is simple - incredible offense that couldn't be stopped, defense that wasn't swiss-cheese (like the later Rams teams). '03 Patriots were, I believe, in the middle of winning 33 out of their last 35 games. Incredible run of greatness.
