It is not prehistoric, it is a modern fish that has been seen before. Its only relatives that we know about, however, are fossils. Occasionally fish are discovered that are related to old fish whose lines were thought to be extinct. The coelacanth was a good example. It is not the same fish as the fossils but the same order, possibly the same family but not the same genus or species

freaky. too bad it died though.
its sad whenever an animal is
caught by humans and sometimes
because of mistreatment always dies.
its just like the giant squid thing.
