Wear your swimsuit and stop worrying about shallow, rude people. A size 14 is not huge, and so what if they have great bodies? You need to relax and enjoy your time with your kids, not spend the time being self-conscious about your weight. Your kids love you as you are, right? Then what does it matter what the neighbours think? If they say something then I wouldn't go over there or allow my kids to either as they're not a good example for acceptance of other people's differences to your kids.
My mom was obese and extremely self-conscious when I was growing up. It affected everything she did, she was always worrying about how she looked, and what other people thought. This did nothing for my own self-esteem, as of course girls learn about self-image from their moms. If you are confident (fake it if you have to!), then that is what you will project to your kids.
By the way, I'm 5'10" and at LEAST a size 14 and you can imagine I always feel like people are looking at me and thinking 'what a cow'! I try and ignore it and act as naturally as I can. My 7-year-old boy is (hopefully) not going to grow up overly conscious of how he looks and what others think. (Besides, there's always someone bigger at the pool!)
Finally, will you look back on this time when you're 80 and think, 'gee, why didn't I just enjoy being with my kids? what was I so worried about?'

If you are REALLY shy about your body then why don't you wear a one-piece swimsuit and a T-shirt over it? Otherwise, get one of those swimsuit that has a skirt around the hip area. They make nicer more modern looking ones now so you won't look like your grandma.

You can wear a nice one piece, one with a little skirt, or shorts and a tank top. There's no reason why you shouldn't enjoy the water too. Plus, swimming is one of the most excellent forms of exercise. It works your whole body and feels excellent. Try doing some laps. Don't deprive yourself.

noo just go!
if they are nice enough to invite you over to swim in their pool they should like you enough not to make fun of you.
but to make yourself feel more comfortable get a bathing suit that flatters your body. one has diagonal strips make you look thinner. or diagonal buncing around the stomach (kind of like a wrap dress) would work.

Don't be embarassed. Most people are way too obsessed with what *they* look like to worry about you. Just go and have fun.
