Dakota and others keep saying how she's almost 13 yrs. old, SO??? 13 is still underaged and for anyone to think it's ok for her to be doing a Movie that has her acting out a rape scene is just sick. I hope no one goes to see this Movie and sends a message to Hollyweird!

Update: Dakota Rape Movie: No Buyers

"Hounddog," the simply awful movie in which 12-year-old Dakota Fanning’s character is raped, has no buyers.

"No one wants it after the terrible reviews," one distributor told me, just as we were sitting down to see another disaster, J.P. Schaefer’s "Chapter 27."

Indeed, the people associated with The Weinstein Company, IFC Films and First Look were among those who instantly agreed that they had no interest in "Hounddog."

I agree with Squitlle. Dakota, a very mature and talented young girl, feels the neeed to justify it as you ll it because she is angry and upset that her mother and other adults she cares about came under fire and feels the need to protect them I would guess.

There was no interaction between the boy and her and it is the result of skillful editing, The person wrote the story had this happen to her in real life and is seeking to let women who she feels were silence have a voice and refused to take the scene out. O personally will go see it but you can boycott if you wish..that's your choice but not everyone will make the same choice as you do..

Trust me this controversy will draw as many people or more to the film that those who boycott it..I remember when the last temptation of Christ came out..more people saw it because christians talked about banning it and boycotting so much that it gained way more noteriety than it would have had noone said anything..Controversy is good for the publicity..

I merely revealed a question about this too. that's previous information yet nonetheless really bothers me. that's no longer Bush accountable. he's in cost of the federal authorities. Nagun become the only accountable. i in my opinion won't be able to face Bush, i imagine he did extra to help ruin our usa than the different President, yet in this i do not imagine he become incorrect. i do no longer imagine that we ought to continuously be so callous and say that those human beings must have merely gotten themselves out. I agree that they ought to have, yet they did not. we received't merely go away our fellow American's to rot in this variety of difficulty. also, New Orleans become threatened with such storms each and every of the time, and many the time the storms weren't as undesirable as weathermen predicted. And, who can ignore that the levee's were ineffective? That feels like pastime Nagun ought to were on for a lengthy time period.

Actually I hadn't heard anything about it till now. Of course it seems to me that having to defend her particitpation in the movie is worse for her than having done the part in the first place. I will probably see it simply because so many find it objectionable. Just to send a message of my own...I say more power to her.

It's not her fault...it's her parents. Where were they ? And how could they let their daughter do a movie like this. ? I mean if it ok with her mom and dad then who are you to tell them whats best for there child..? I mean If I told you how to raise your kid ( If you have any) you would tell me to go to hell right ? I might watch it..but not for that reason..just when a movie gets alot of hype you get curious and wanna see what the hype is about.

Now that I had a second to think I would rather Watch Smoking Aces or Ghost Rider !!!!

I'm not tired of Dakota trying to justify the movie, I'm tired of the people who think she needs to. It's a movie. The scene wasn't real. Get over it.

It's not sick it's cold hard reality. Whether or not you think it's right or want to accept it doesn't change the fact that it happens is todays' society. She should not have to justify her part in the movie to anyone, if you don't like it dont see it! You may chooose not to see it but I bet you more people will go see it than you'd like to think, Everyone is entitled to theri own opinions and it's sad that you think yours is justified, if you don't like it, go make a movie you will see.

Anyone that deals with young girls that age (or boys, for that matter) can tell you that if you ever tell someone that age that something they worked hard on was wrong, they'd react the same way. Not sure I'll watch that movie, but she's one of the best young actresses to come around in a long time.
