There is this beautiful book called "Generation T - 108 Ways to Transform a T-Shirt" by Megan Nicolay....
It's $15 if you want it from Barnes and Noble. I promise you, it will change your DIY life!!!!!
It's AMAZING!!!!!!! I strongly recommend it!!!!!!!
Most of the designs require scissors and little sewing. It's that easy. I promise it is a good investment.

Go to a craft store and buy iron-on transfers. These print out right from an ink-jet printer. Follow the directions on the package carefully! Hope I could Help!

I sell t-shirt for a living! Crafts are OK if you want to sell a couple and spend a lot of time. A heat press is good if you want to sell few, but the transfers are expensive. To get the best quality you have to get a company to screenprint for you. You can have any color you can imagine. I don't screen print for people outside of my city, but please don't buy shirts from wal/K-mart. Depending on how many you want I'll ship them to you myself. You can get shirts way cheaper and better quality without those mart places.

you really have no limit on the size or colors of shirts.. go to walmart, target, kmart, and get some shirts of any colors and decorate them by cutting the sleeves, using fabric paint, tye-dye, jewels, patches, there really is no limite on being creative and having fun.if your looking for good craft supplies, go to Michaels, A.C. Moore or Walmart, those three have the best selection of artzy stuff you can do with your shirts.
Remember their isn't a limit on being creative, go with what you want to do. and make up designs on paper first if you want. spend an hour or two in a craft store and see what they have( i spend hours in Michaels!!) JUST HAVE FUN AND BE CREATIVE!!
