Sure the food in some stores isn't always safe, but they have a better chance of being safe than restaurants do.

I have to admit, I do try to eat in more now. But I also think that heightened awareness of bacterial scares and 'E. coli' outbreaks doesn't necessarily mean it's more prevalent now. I think we're just more aware of it, and it's reported more heavily.

(I also think that, in years past, most people would've shaken off e. coli or 'food poisoning' as 'a case of the runs' and moved on with their life.)

I plan on continuing to eat out. You need to use some common sense of course. If you have some serious concerns make sure to eat hot cooked food and avoid salads. If you are not less than 2 or very old or immune issues even if you get sick you will live in 98% of the time.

i use to work fast food and it always made me mad when costumers would ***** abotu something not being 100% clean. sometimes stores LOOK dirty but are really the cleaniest places it's just the age of the store. also i can bet that some people copmlain about how clean the place is have some NASTY habbits in their own kitchen. you can't tell me that EVERYONE keeps their kitchen 100% santized at all times and washes there hands after touching EVERY peice of food.

No. I guess after a while of eating out some peoples stomachs get used to the not so safe food, and don't get sick if it has something in it.

You have to decide do I want a job at this place OR do I want to do what I think is best. What you could do is make an anonymous call to the health department and report it. This way something can happen and you can still keep your job for right now. If I were you though I would get a job else where.

I go to real restaurants, not fast food places. It is just as cheap to buy at a restaurant and get full, than to eat junk at fast food.

I always read the reports in the newspaper - try to avoid the places where "unknown meat found in walk-in" is in the violation list. But it is still better than my own cooking!
