I am a Celtic Pagan Priest.
i refuse to call myself a Druid because i find it to be an insult to their great legacy. there are few druids left, and their legitmacy can be questioned.
A druid (Male/Female) had to be trained for 20 years by another druid to attain the title. they were trained in the stories and history of the celts (bards) and were taught to repeat the 15,000 year history verbatum without changind a single word.
the next level was a knowlege of herbs, medicine, and the laws of man. Druids were often called to judge a dispute and to make fair decisions. they were also known healers, and had to know how to make medicine from plants and roots. knowlege of every living plant and animal in their terratory was a MUST.
the third was a spiritual level. they were priest's of the gods. and much ritual and training went into their faith.
Cerunuuos himself (god fo the forest) told the Druids that their time was done durring the Christian Invasion of europe. but also said that your time will return.
there are some Celtic reconstruction groups that to give out the title of Druid, and there are some orginisations that try to preserve their history.
the OBOD. Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids is one fo these groups and they have a comprehensive study program and will give you the title of Druid in as little as 3 years. personally i think that their info is great but the title is worthless.
if you wish to be the equal of a Driud. do a lot of reading, learn everything that you can, about their religion and all the other religions of the world. learn herbs and plants and learn the faith of the Celts. find your connection to the Gods of old and then ask them for guidance.

You do not have to be a man to be a modern druid. Druidry is about the spiritual connection between humankind, their ancestors and the land. The best site I have found for you is that of the Druid Network (see link below). There are also Druidry section in most pagan forums. I think you may have difficulty finding fellow druids in Italy as the faith is most prevalent in Britain. Try looking at the Pagan Federation International site for Italy. There are lots of books on Druidry. As I am a witch not a druid I cannot recommend any personally, but I have a colleague who is a druid and shall ask him on your behalf.

IF you can find someone that is a legitimate practitioner of Druidism study with them. Of course finding someone that is such is a chore in itself. None of the ones that I have encountered are in agreement with any of the otheres. ALL of them claim that their path is the right one and even the books on the subject are contradictory and no 2 authors can agree on what the Druids did, what their practices were, and how they conducted themselves. IF you can wade your way through that...you might find information you can use and someone that can help you with it....but for the most part the inforamtion is incomlete, sketchy, and disorienting to say the least.

You can't!!! Druids are men!
If you want to follow a Celtic path you can eventually become a priestess of one of the various Celtic reconstuctionist traditions. You will need to do a LOT of reading though.
Let me repeat though! REAL DRUIDS ARE MEN! same as Catholic clergy. You CAN'T have a female Druid - it's like having a male priestess!!! Can't be done...

i dunno really about the Druid religion.but here are a few sites that you can go to that i happen to come upon accidently.i thought that i wanted this religion but knew from my main Goddess Hekate that i belong with Her religion path ways.hope these sites help you.and blessed be for wanting the old religion of faith in your life!

Joining the order or earth is a long and difficult path. It is only available to searchers. You probably want the Wicca path or the harry Potter/Charmed stuff.
