It seems for every holiday we have, we have to run out and BUY BUY BUY, SPEND SPEND SPEND, GIFT GIFT GIFT...

It seems so artificial..."Here I got you some chocolate and jewlery to prove I love you!" (because everyone knows I can't display my love for you with my attention, time and care:it's just that I really can't be a man and live up to that expectation of my character) "Oh, thank you, you're so sweet!"(Even though I'm so fat I can't eat these chocolates so I'll throw most of them away, and this jewlery is so ugly and the diamonds are so tiny, I'll only wear this once a year, like on our anniversary)

When will we simply stop with the phony gifts and start celebrating the holidays with some honest to goodness emotion?

We feel obligated because everyone else appears to be doing it to. We, as a society have been brain washed, mostly by women, to believe that We must show tactile evidence of Our feelings for others. Please explain "Easter Eggs" to Me!!

We don't have too...And it's okay not to...you're right this is just plain crazy...But we have to make X-mas what we want it to be, lets stop complaining and start doing what we know is right...
