sit down and speak to them and ask why are they doing this it could be that they do it with out realizing but make sure you pick the right moment like when they are in a good mood. make sure you make them realize your love and when they abuse you it Hurts it could be they don't love you back, if that's the case is the person worth being with. but if you cant live with out that person find a way to show them that you are worth it. coz no one should put up with abuse especially wen you give love in return. hope this helps........love can be wonderful but it can be blind too that's when people get hurt but learn to protect your feelings it took me time...........

Evidently, it is a one-sided affair. I would leave and never look back. Most of the time promises are broken so don't fall for any sweet talk or promises. Only therapy would suffice. A person that abuses another is not in love. It is a power struggle. Emotional, physical, or even verbal abuse is not justifiable. You must find a way out before it escalates into something more serious. Don't allow yourself to be caught up in a situation that you can not get out of. Take heed and run like you are in a marathon...tomorrow can be a better day.

There is verbal, mental and physical abuse. This person you love so much has a big problems with self esteem. One of my friends has a husband who is physically abusive. She has called the police on him and then he had to go to anger management classes. From this day forward, he wasn't abusive any longer and they are still married, but the relationship is not the same any longer. If you want to stay with do the same, otherwise kick him out or run.

Get out, now. There is nothing about abuse that has anything to do with love.
Start by calling an abused woman's hot line (check your phone book) or by contacting any type of social services agency, your doctor or even, if you have children, talking with one of their teachers. These are all people and places that, in most countries, have a legal obligation to help you.
Be strong - you'll need it. Lean on people when you have to, and accept all of the help that is offered to you. In fact, don't be afraid to ask for help. But get out, ASAP.

What do you do if the person you love the most kills you? It is dangerous to love someone who is violent towards you. The more you take, the more you'll get. It's best to leave now, go far away, and take some time to learn what you want. Don't immediately get back into another relationship because it will probably be the same situation. Be on your own. Take care of yourself and love yourself. Then you'll be able to find someone who is worth your love.

So far all the answers are unanimous. Leave. I'd say you are getting advise from people who know and who have been there.
After you leave you might consider getting some counseling. Otherwise you may find yourself back in the same kind of relationship. Look for a group to join if money is a consideration.
I echo everyone else. Leave now. Don't look back, and don't fall for any promises to do better. Your mate is twisted and impaired and will continue to do terrible damage to you.

Depends what type of abuse you are talking about. Emotional or physical abuse? Just remember that as much as what people say hurt out feelings, words can't hurt us. Not physically. You have to learn to just let it slide right off you. It's a hard thing to do. If it's physical then that's something that you need to work out. Ask yourself if you want to be in the relationship and be honest with yourself. Shut your heart off and use your head to answer the question.

Abuse comes in many guises but whatever form it takes there's no sane reason to put up with it. That said it's time you look elsewhere for one who really loves you unconditionally and does not feel the need to abuse, neglect or hurt you.

Who is this person? How are they abusing you? You should really talk with someone you can trust and try to get out of the situation. Good luck!

I assume you're talking about a spouse or BF.
Just leave. Yes I know it's easy for me to say, but I have been where you are. It doesn't change; it only grows worse.
This man doesn't love you. He merely feels the need to CONTROL you with violence. Get out, the sooner the better.
