the age range is 8-18 months. i have heard of younger. personally, its better when they arent too young, around a year is good because then they have a better understanding of the word 'no'. also, when they learn to walk, that also means they fall and get hurt a lot, so be prepared for that. Its important to have your house baby-proofed too. You will be surprised what they can get into.

Every baby is different. Both my kids started walking at 10 months. My best friends baby started walking at 13 months. And I watched a little girl for a while who didn't start walking until she was 16 months.

It's different for different babies. Some 8 months, some 12 months. My 4-month old is beginning to learn. He can stand / support his own weight and walk, but he does neither of those without support.

Most babies get used to standing while holding on tables around 8 months and most babies start to walk around one year old.

a year's about average. some earlier (8 or 9 months) some later (13 or 14 months) if not by the 15 month checkup i'm sure your dr. will look into it. good luck and don't rush it, they don't stay out of a thing once they start ;)

Around 9 months, but it really depends on the child...mine took until she was 13, 14 months. They walk when they are ready.
