My boyfriend gets mad when a complete stanger flirts with me, but I'll come home from work and tell him his friend from where he works flirts with me and its perfectly fine....he does it like everyday and its just okay?? What is the difference ?? If my firend talked to him like he does me, I'd be telling my friend how it is. and these are the boundries.

To a guy if his friend is flirting with you it makes them feel powerful because they have a girl they want and they think they can't have becasue they are friends and wouldn't do that. But if it's a stranger they get nervous because they could sweep you off your feet and take you away. Little do they know so could there friend if he really wanted to try and you were interested.

He knows his friends will not go over their bounderies and know possibly they are just joking around with you. but when it comes to a complete stranger he does not know what the strangers intensions really are..and what they are capable of..my boyfriend is the same way ...we have a really good friend that comes over alot and who I have known for about 10 years now and he flirts with me all the time and we joke around and my boyfriend knows that..but when a complete stranger flirts with me he gets really pissed and majority of the time says something to the man that flirts with me..but guys are just like that...they are over protective when stranger hit on you but not enough when his friends do it..just talk to him and see if there is a way he can talk to his friends about it.

He knows the people and doesn't fell threatened by that but, when a stranger does it he doesn't know them and feels that maybe he could lose you to him.

he probably feels that you're too good for him and could do better, so he then feels threatened when you flirt.
