Why isn't global warming being mentioned on the news nowthat its cold outside?

A few weeks ago the news made a big deal about an ice berg that is melting ,, the world will end blah blah blah... Now that its freaking cold outside , the news hasnt said a word about it.

That's because the iceberg melting is a three-week-old story meaning it's old news. Yeah, it's coldER, but it's not nearly as cold as it used to be in January. This is still a heat wave by comparison.
