Jo suffers from anxiety and panic attacks. She relies heavily on cigarettes and alcohol to calm her nerves. NO wonder she looks so hard nosed and old for her age.
Danielle is a daft bint but get some drink in her and she becomes the world's biggest biotch.
Jack is a non entity in every way. zzzzzzzz

What is more telling is how their personalities, (especially Danielle's), change in regard to drinking. She becomes quite mean and agressive. She is one step away from being an alcoholic. And single.

I really don't think that they have a drinking problem. I think they just enjoy the occasional, sociable drink like most people do.
