What do y'all think about Captain Hook? Do you like how he dresses, his hair, anything?

Captain Jas. Hook --no matter the version-- is suppose to be an elegant, refined character. While Disney Hook is mainly for laughs, Issacs' Hook is truely sinister, yet charming. Fox's Hook (Fox's Peter Pan & the Pirates) is somewhere in between.
I once said on a Peter Pan forum that the reason that the same actor played both Mr. Darling AND Captain Hook was that each man represented the best and worst of adults. (In a Yin-Yang sort of way.)
Mr. Darling: Despite the bad humor and the temper, is an honorable man. This is evedent when you read the book, when you see him in Nana's doghouse. He believes himself responsible for the children's running --or FLYING, as the case may be-- away from home, and has choosen to live in the doghouse until they return. He even goes so far as to have himself taken to work in the doghouse.
Captain Hook: Hook, on the other hand, is a cruel villian. Consider that his oppenent --despite Peter's abilities-- is a CHILD. Hook wants to KILL A CHILD. Some might argue his case by pointing out that Peter had cut off Hook's hand and fed it to the crocodile, thus giving the creature's taste for the old pirate. That is NO EXCUSE for attempting to hunt down and murder a young boy.
Geroge Darling and James Hook are two sides of the same coin, almost mirror images of each other (and any other such clitches you might want to use...). Good and evil in one actor.

It matters if Jason Isaacs is doing the part or if the Disney cartoon is doing it. Disney gives no justice to a cut-throat pirate, but Isaacs was chilling as the nemisis of Pan and general childish themes. The hair is awesome, though rather contrary to the hostory books, depicting pirates with short hair. The hook is.... just........ wow...........

His big nose, hook for a hand, moustace, and big hat made him a good villain in Peter Pan, but it's all about Captain Jack Sparrow! HIs manners and speech make him the best pirate ever!
