Vermont has far more ski resorts than New Hampshire does. Not only does it have more it has probably 90% of the biggest ones in the east.

according to the website http://www.alpinezone.com/skiing/resorts.htm , NH actually has more. One more, according to my count. BUT, Vermont has bigger mountains. Killington and Okemo come to mind as some of the largest ski resorts in the east. There is also Jay Peak and Stowe, which are rather large. new Hampshire is great if you are looking for a more quiet ski area. Waterville Valley will always be one of my favorites - and the night life at WV, although somewhat quieter than Killington's, is still pretty awesome. :)
Also, Mad River Glen, in Vermont, is one of the only spots out east that doesnt allow snowboarders. So if you wanna hang out with a bunch of hardcore skiers and avoid the snowboarders sitting in the middle of your mogul run, try Mad River.
