No, chromosomes hold the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid)of our body or you can say our genes which can be transferred to your children. However, ribosomes are the organelles in cell that assembles proteins and instead of DNA, it is composed of rRNA (ribosomal ribonucleic acid). Hope it helps...peace out...
