I had a bad stain on a pair of jeans (I found them--I couldn't get the stain out. It was dirty motor oil. I hope.)
I put on a grizzly bear patch and it's cool.
If you have legitimate stains or wear and tear and you want to keep the jeans, patch away. But don't go nuts patching a new pair--it looks stupid.

IT MAKES THE JEANS LOOK LIKE LI'L ABNER TIMES A COMIC STRIP THAT AL CAPP COMPOSED. ALTHOUGH I SUPPOSE IT DEPENDS WHAT THE PATCHES REPRESENT AND WHERE THEY ARE PLACED.
