You say you're a person with great self-esteem, that's wonderful. Use that confidence and be yourself, talk to him. Nothing is more attractive than someone with confidence and great self-esteem. You say you're both indian, so you have at least one thing in common. Just get to know him better and find out what other things you both have in common, that will help. Theres nothing you can do if he dont like u for who u are now then ur in a bad pasition try to get out of it.Because u cant wear tight pants or nothing and u said ur a geek so theres no chance unless he is just shy to talk to u.

You should flirt a little bit, but not too much. Try making some eye contact or asking about stuff that concerns him. You got to first be a friend before you can be a girlfriend.

From the perspective of a guy, let me tell you, unless he is already determined not to like you, the best method is just to pay attention to him. But before that, become friends with his friends, if you get yourself invited to hang out by his friends, and then bump into him hanging out, then it doesn't seem like you're throwing yourself at him. It would then seem like you both belong on the same general social plane. Once he thinks that about you, all you have to do is like him, and he'll like you back. All it takes for me to like a girl is to not be repulsed by her, and for her to pay attention to me. Thats it
