Because the Gulf Stream heads more directly for Iceland than Greenland. The warmer southern Atlantic ocean water coming up from the Caribbean and southeast coast of USA flows towards/past Iceland, and pretty much completely misses Greenland.

geographic location.

look at the USA at the amount of temp changes, due to its size, and location the temp can vary awesome amounts.

longitude and latitude is the location I refer to relivant to size and location. look at it like a grid in that sense, and you will see what i mean.

only 50 miles can make a big difference in tempreture. so any difference in longitude/latitude can impact iceland and greenland.

BECAUSE, IT'S WARMED BY THE GULF STREAM CURRENTS. ICELAND'S TEMPERATURE IS MILDER THAN THE NAME SUGGESTS, WHILE WINTER NIGHT'S GLOW, WITH NORTHERN LIGHTS, AND LINGER UNTIL MID-MORNING. SPRINGTIME BRINGS LONG DAYLIGHT HOURS THAT BLEND INTO ENDLESS DAY'S OF SUMMER, UNDER THE INCREDIBLE MIDNIGHT SUN.
