It seems that many of you need lessons in reading comprehension.
the question specifically stated "who is the better bounty hunter".
The punisher is NOT a bounty hunter, he is a psychotic vigilante.
He does not take money to bring people in or hunt or kill people for money (as boba fett does). He kills people in the name of his own brand of justice and does not "bring them in alive" nor does he need or want to.
Thus the question is not, "who would win" or "who is more bad ***". Boba fett would without question be the better bounty hunter as the punisher is not a bounty hunter.
Boba fett would win without a doubt here.
If the two were to fight however I would have to give that to the punisher, because even though boba fett has vastly superior technology, none of that did him any good when he was killed by a blind han-solo in return of the jedi.
Fett seems better at negotiating deals for others to do his job for him (as he had to have darth vader capture han solo in the first place through trickery) than he is at accomplishing those jobs himself. Punisher is the better fighter, and is a better fighter than han solo AND carries more and better weapons than the weapon han solo used to kill boba fett (a simple metal rod).
EDIT: whats with this "expanded universe" crap- if lucas didn't write it it didn't happen (unfortunately there are also certain prequels most people wish he didn't write either). Just because some hack writer wants to sell thier books under the star wars franchise because they can't make it independantly doesn't mean that what they write is in line with what was written by the creator.

As cool as Fett has been (in the Expanded universe) he and Castle operate on two different levels. Boba is a professional mercenary. He gets paid to do a job, and he does that job very well. But at the end of the day it is about the paycheck. Frank is a vigilante. A man with a personal "calling", an all encompassing mission. For him it isn't about the money, it is about the result.
But the punisher is not a Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett is. By default he is the better Bounty Hunter.... but I think The Punisher is the better character and (given access to the same technology) would own Fett... just like Mace Windu owned Jango.

Well, I'd have to leave out the bounty part, Boba Fett hunts for a bounty, the Punisher hunts and kills as part of a vendetta, at most he scavenges weapons and money from targets he has eliminated.
If you should say who is more adept at finding and killing their prey, I'd have to give it to Frank Castle as he fights outside of a system and still is effective despite being hunted himself by forces within and outside of the law.

Are you kidding me ?? The Punisher would destory BoBa with in seconds..He's battled everyone from superbaddies to Spider-Man
Frank would just camp out and sniper Boba before he knew he was being hunted...~RIP Boba~
