Go with a dish. Comcast is an over-priced monopoly. Not sure why someone mentioned dish has too many channels... you pick your package and they have pkgs with very little channels. Comcast way too expensive. I have never had an issue with my DirecTV hookup. Plus with dish it is so much easier to change your programming on the fly if you want. I can go online and drop HBO and pick up Showtime in 5 seconds. No dealing with a rep trying to sell me stuff in addition. What ever you do stay away from RCN! Three co-workers have it and say its crap. They only have it because it is included in their association dues at their condo bldg (they all live in same huge bldg in Lincoln Park)

I recommend comcast. Usually the cables are put under the ground. which means the only time you should have problem with your cable is if we have a earthquake, or you don't pay your bill. I have known people that have had a dish. Every time it rained, snowed, or high winds the dish didn't work. Granted, the comcast is a little more, but when your watching a important show or event, you have less of be upset with comcast.

I've had both Dish and Comcast, and didn't have a much problems with either. I prefer Dish, mainly because of the price. We have Comcast now because of trees, Comcast starts at about $44 for basic. We have the digital extended package and it just went up to $70 a month. You can bundle it with DSL and cell service for about $100 a month.

Depends what your looking for. Dish is recommended if you are looking for foreign programming. But the dish must be facing a certain way to get it working properly. In my complex, all the people facing north have no reception. Comcast on the other hand is more expensive, but I believe it is more reliable. and they have bundles now, which will give you a discount if you order multiple items (phone, internet, cable)

The best cable to get is comcast cable, personally I don't like the dish beause it has to many channels, like the weather, spanish, sports. Comcast has them but not as much. So I advised you to get comcast.

I like comcast it is reasonable priced they give you a deal if you get internet with tv. and there is no problems with reception every time there is bad weather like snow rain and wind (when you don't want to go outside you have bad reception).
