The Germans definitely did not like the Treaty of Versailles. Many historians believe that this treaty was one of the reasons for World War II. The Germans hated the treaty so much that when the French surrendered to the Germans during WWII, they were forced to surrender in the same train car that was used to sign the Treaty of Versailles.

Most germans were disgusted witrh the terms that the treaty laid out. The military was particulally inscenced. It was rumored that the Jews were behind the treaties dictums so a long fostered anti semitism was reignited. This was a rallying cry later for the National Socialsist Party (NAZI) to justify exterminating the Jews. It was termed the "Stab in the back". The treaty severly limited military strenght and some prime land (Sclewig-Holstien) and the Ruhr were returned to the French. along with Alasace Lorraine this are was the major center for coal and industry. The Germans were saddled with war debts that actually were designed to never be paid back, they were too high. These strictures led to the economy failing and ultimately paved the way for the Nazi's to come to power.

most hated it for it imposed harsh sanctions on the German government it limited there army size to 100,000 and the navy to nothing over a cruiser size ship. also the treaty made Germany pay for the entire war they got blamed for the whole thing so had to pay for war. this in turn sowed the seeds for the next war.
the end of one war sows the seeds of the next war.
hoped this helped Lynn

They were very upset and angry at the harshness of the treaty, and their anger would later backfire as the start of WW2.

They hated it. That hatred was one of the main reasons for the rise of the Nazi party, which lead directly to the Second World War.
