I am a make-up artist and this is one of the main question.
The system of applying makeup for a natural look is fast and easy when you get the hang of it.
Steps:
1. Understand that a 'natural' look is one that uses colors that are right for your skin tone. How much you use, and where, depends on your personal style.
2. Make sure your concealer is yellow in tone since it mutes imperfections without adding color, giving your skin a natural look.
3. Apply foundation that matches your skin tone. The right foundation will seem to disappear on your face. If you are African-American, it's a good idea to have light, medium and dark shades of your foundation to allow for different gradations of color on different parts of your face.
4. Apply eye makeup in earthy tones'beige, brown, gold or plum for shadows and brown and charcoal gray for liner and mascara. Skip liner or shadow entirely if you want to keep makeup light.
5. Choose a blush color that is close to the color of your cheeks after you've exercised.
Tips:
Remember to clean and moisturize your face first.
Choose brighter or darker tones for a stronger, more made-up look.
Intensify your natural makeup for evening. Instead of brown, for example, go for charcoal around the eyes. 'Pop' blush with a brighter color over your usual one. Make lips brighter, darker or more shimmery.
I hope that helps.

well, i used to be a make-up sales person...
in real life I don't wear make-up too often, but a lot of times when i do, i love having fun with it and trying new things
some of my favorite tips:
egyptian/cat eye eyliner- take black liquid eyeline, and when applying it, apply it only to the top lid, and extent it in a slightly curved direction a little bit beyond your eyelid, as sometimes it looks like they do in egyptian heiroglyphics
black eyeshadow- warning! use sparingly and carefully...only certain people can pull this off...use a little bit of black eyeshadow (if you cant find any, substitute with a smudged black eyeliner crayon), don't wear any bluch, have a nice, even foundation, and wear clear or light pink lipgloss...it looks awesome...same goes for dark purple eyeshodow 9though substitue the light pink lipgloss with a light lavender-pinkish lipgloss)
bright red nail polish- eyecatching, but common
bright red or hot pink lips- screams kiss me, looks awesome on most people, isn't too common, and definately isnt a good girl look...
hope this helps!!

try natural tones that go with your skin tone. browns, pinks and golds are good in SMALL AMOUNTS! use blush on your cheeks and go a little more dramatic around the eyes with a lengthing mascara. draw attention to your best feature, so if you have gorgeous eyes, play them up! if you have nice lips, use a good lipgloss! try some makeup brands websites for tips.

Just wear black eyeliner, red lipstick and black mascara. If you apply it right then it won't look goth or emo. Ususally going light on the eyeliner and mascara will make you not look goth or emo.

Oaky try a bronzer or bluser, and use differnt colour mascara, on the tips of your eylashes, i suggest turquiose or glittery sliver. Use a lip liner and coloured lipgloss or liptsick.

go for natural makeup .. makeup that makes you look good but you can barely tell your wearing it .. no colored eye-shadows.. that only works in summertime .. just neutrals like browns and creamy colors .. always add blush to your nose and cheeks bones to give your face a natural looking color .. and go easy on eyeliner b/c applying too thickly won't look good

why do you think you need make up to keep from being stuck up? why don't you find out why people think you're stuck up. maybe you are, have you thought about that? look at your body language when you're talking to people. do you judge THEM, then they have no choice but to judge you and call you stuck up.
i don't see how that would help you, but i get all my make up tips from cosmogirl or seventeen.
