I know someone who was emancipated at 16. I've heard that you can get emancepated at 15 with a job and place to live. What are the steps in getting emanceptaed and do you HAVE to have parental consent?

to heather.....I definatly apreciate that, of course tho, but i must say my case is quite different from those of other 15 year olds who want to move out. I am a hard worker and able to keep a steady job, I have a place to stay lined up and I am in homeschooling over the internet and I can continue with my schooling and go on to college. Im not saying that I wont struggle more if I get emancepated, but I do feel I have the capaseties to do such a thing.

Can any1 provide me wit a list of ways to become emancipated or things that qualify you for emacipation?

life is hard enough why get a jump start on it i didnt have a great childhood so if your unhappy i understand but trust me i was out on my own at 16 and i have struggled ever since no matter what goals you have in life weather it be college or whatever you will not get them done and you will end up on the streets because without an education you cant get a job makin more then min.wage and you cant pay rent and utilities and food and other basic needs on just min. wage so you'll end up on the streets or in the welfare system good luck
