Remember this! Popular doesn't always mean good.
I know it's all a matter of opinion, but I'd have to say the best bands in the world would be either The Damned, Pearl Jam, Stigma, or Böhse Onkelz.
Remember this, also: When you say "in the world", you have to consider other countries have their own bands. The bands I've mentioned come from different countries (well, not Pearl Jam), and they all trample "Simple Plan".

turn off your ipod dear, go listen to the doors or nirvana or stp or something, go listen to some classic rock that survived the test of time and not simple plan...in the nicest words possible they're not that good... and if you still stand by that simple plan-y sound, then go listen to blink-182, who were probably simple plan's idols anyway. peace.

haha they aren't even close. they are pretty decent for the type of music they play, but it a question like this will always be a matter of opinion. and in mine, the best band in the world is and always will be led zeppelin.
