Hey everyone! My friend and I are having a debate....
When you are using the restroom, how do you flush the toliet? Do you use your hand or your foot?!

Depends on the restroom. At home I use my hands, usually at work I do too, because I work in a nice office building and they are cleaned twice a day. Anywhere else I use my foot, and at the beach I just don't flush them, they are too nasty for even the bottom of my shoes. And if the handle is too high for me to get my foot up I'll use a paper towel or something.

I use my hand, then wash it in the sink. Using my foot guarantees the next person will have a dirty handle to touch. Think of all the things your shoes travel through on your way to or in the bathroom. On the other hand, you carefully keep track of where your hands are at all times (I hope).

Unless the handle is dripping with something gross-but ive never seen that
I think its okay to flush the toilet with your hands. They might get a few cootieson it-probally from the person before you flushing with there shoe. But your fixing to go wash your hands. And unless your planning on licking your hands after you flush the toilet i don;t think its harmful to flush with your hands.

I ALWAYS use foot on metal lever toilets at the malls, restaurants (any public place) to avoid germs n contigous. Why would i have to hand on it for??? If you happen foot it and broke it, let it be! Business place surely can afford to buy those to fix! Plz! Dont say ur name.. jsut leave innocently.

o i always use my foot i wont' dare touch it. but i do get a little worrie when i wear flip flops that my shoe will fall off in the toilet lol. but only in public restrooms of course. at home i use my hand. it'd be wierd if i didnt' in my own house lol

foot. I'm not touching that after others have touched themselves down there. yuk. There's not enough soap and paper towels to cover it. Definetly the foot.

i guess using the feet is more sanitary than using your hands, but we use our hands most of the time because is a habit we have developed.
