Hi I am a new sales associate. I just started working for a broker yesterday and I am trying to get some tips on how to get new homebuyers? I will have my business cards next week and when I get them I want to have a plan in order to get out there and get started. I know the fasted way for me to get $$paid is homebuyers so I want to focus on getting them first and then I will focus on getting listings. Any tips for a newbie? I am already sending emails to family and friends and everyone I know. How do I get people I dont know yet??

Do open houses for some of the top producers in your office. They hate doing them and its a great way to corral some buyers. Its also a potential sale!!! I know I pay agents $50, they get to keep the buyers, and if its sold to a buyer directly and not a co-broke the get the buyers agent compensation. If there is a co-broke I give them an additional $450.
Good luck in the business and do not listen to the Nay Sayer's about the business. Keep your nose to the grindstone and keep hustling. You will make money. Most agents are lazy and expect work to come from thin air. They make no money.

Congratulations on getting into the best business there is.
The first buyers that I had were from the "up time" at my office. when you get a chance take that turn at the phones. When someone calls in be ready to talk about the homes. What you want to do is give them some info and get some info, back and forth. Tell them you are aware of some terrific houses and invite them into the office to review their needs. Then be prepared to go over their finances, their needs in a house and write everything down. Then you are on your way. Your office should have some training classes to get you started, be sure to attend those.

Two things. stop and talk to people who are trying to sell their homes themselves. you could offer them a free market analysis of the value of their home. don't give it to them , meet with them and show it to them. also, do open houses. that's a good way to get buyers. good luck to you.
