uk is set to gmt (grenwich mean time) all other time zones are either plus or minus 12 hours depending on where you are in the world! if you are in austrailia its 10 hrs ahead if your in the US its 5 hours behind the uk! check out this website it will tell you the time wherever you want in the world!

also check the time and date settings for this diarie as you may be able to alter which timezone it is for!

Usually about 5 hours if you use somewhere like New York as the east coast.

Look on a world map. If you go right around the world you will have 360 degrees from start to finish point...

As a guide line for every 15 degrees west or east of your start point that is generally accepted to be 1 hour. (If you go west you loose an hour if you go east you add an hour)

So...see how many degrees there are from your start point to London. If your start point is New York there should be about 75 degrees difference on the map.

Next do some maths

75 deg divided by 15 deg = 5 and that is the number of hours it is

See simple

'Eastern Standard Time' is the time zone of the Atlantic(Eastern) seaboard of the U.S.A. It is five hours later than G.M.T. Greenwich Mean Time.
e.g. When it is 12 noon (GMT) in London it is 5:00am in New York and Washington.
