The beauty of a rose is unfortunately often tainted by the painful prick of it's thorns! One must handle it cautiously and gently... ;o)
Enjoy m'lord!

Wait until the divorce is final, and wait until she's over the "my ex is the Anti-Christ" place. Maybe help her into counseling, and just be a caring friend for awhile.

Then, once she's clear of him and is on the right track emotionally again - ask her out on a date.

The key is - be PATIENT. Wait. Don't pressure her. You don't want a rebound relationship, but nor do you want her moving on to some other guy who isn't you, either.

Plus, if you're really into this woman, be prepared to lose her ex-husband as a friend. This shouldn't be too difficult - he sounds like a flake anyway.

Good luck!

The choice is up to the 2 of you! Does she feel the same about you? If there are sparks there? If so go for it! The 2 of you might hit it off and live happilly ever after or you might figure out the true reason why your friend and her really seperated.

If you want to stay friends with the guy then I would say don't no matter how tempting it may be to you. That's crossing over a un spoken line between friends and it could cost you your friendship.

Don't even think about it! She will not feel the same about you! When your friend learns of this, he will NOT be your friend, and neither will the object of your desire, for she WILL do all she can to get her man back!
