Assuming there is nothing else wrong and your doctor can confirm that with you, if a pregnancy test is done at the same time as a period (or any sort of bleed) it will make absolutely no difference to the result. A pregnancy test is to test for HCG which is present in order to 'grow' the baby. The human hormone HCG level of an even un-sustainable pregnancy will nearly always be present in any urine sample. HCG shows up during and after miscarriage or abortion for as long as 3 weeks. HCG will nearly always be present in your urine even if you are as little as 5 weeks pregnant. So I would guess you are not pregnant this time. If you NEED to know-do another test, it will b over 90% accurate. You can get periods during pregnancy but I don't know how or how heavy to expect.

you can still have a period, but probably not the whole nine months. and if your on your period your more than likely not pregnant, a small percentage of woman have there period while there pregnant. it takes 5 days for the sperm to travel to the sac. so take a test in a couple of weeks and you should know.

An ex-girlfriend told me that her best friend had once gotten into a car accident, and in the hospital, the doctor said, "don't worry. The baby's fine." Turns out, she was five month along and had no clue!
