The UK has some famous 3,000-year-old bodies preserved in bogland (you might be used to calling that marshland or some other term). One of these showed evidence of moustache trimming by scissors.

On a more serious note, scissors are an African invention. The earliest scissors found were at an archaeological site in Mali.

actually ppl didn't used to use scissors did they? they used other sharp objects until someone thought of a bright idea to invent scissors, the easy way to cut things.
